Pirate Raymond and the Great Fornelius

Pirate Raymond and the Great Fornelius is a (hastily-named) single-player level for the Unreal Tournament 3 demo in the March 2010 build of UDK. I set out to create a cinematic experience driven not only by combat, but by exploration and engaging scripted sequences. The design of the level centers around a pair of massive cannons which at first threaten the player, but soon after become his most powerful weapon. An emphasis on non-linear spaces, though streamlined from the initial design, allows the player to move through the level by a path of his own choosing.
